Projects

Container Port - CIMS built a complete wireless backbone for a Terminal Operator in Prince Rupert, BC. CIMS has one full time staff member on site to ensure the busy terminal is always open for business. The system that we installed allows the port staff to operate wireless handheld computers, scanners, cameras and gates.

Food Processing Plant - CIMS built a wireless platform inside a Fraser Valley food processor that tracks crops from the receiving dock, through the washing and packaging area right through to the shipping dock. The system significantly contributes to traceability and allows the operators financial staff to better manage inventory.

Wireless Farmyard/Ranch - CIMS develops customized reports that work in real time to facilitate cutting-edge breeding strategies, better stock management and improved layout of barnyard/ranch facilities. Data can be gathered through bar codes or RFID tags via a CIMS designed and built wireless network. We use industry-leading scanners and handheld computers from Motorola, Psion Teklogix and LXE.

Heavy Equipment Auction WLAN - CIMS has constructed more than 40 WLANs throughout the world for a Canadian company. Each site is equipped with state of the art radio equipment working in the 5.8GHz frequency allowing auction clients and company staff to work wirelessly throughout the auction. The system is the result of our unique design. CIMS provides service and maintenance to the system with our European partners. All of the sites are in rural settings with heavy equipment constantly moving in and out of the work yard.
